What’s a comfort zone?  What does it mean to you?

When you look at your own comfort zone and take time to explore it, you can discover more clearly whether you want to make any changes to your life.

Why …

It’s good to choose whether you want to change or not so you are in the driving seat of your own life.

 How …

  1. Look at the section “What’s your comfort zone like?”  What words or phrases sum up your life at the moment?  Write down whatever comes to mind and reflect on what you’ve said.   What do you like and what do you want to keep the same?  What do you want to change?  Circle the word(s) you want to change.
  2. Focus on “Your new expanded comfort zone”    Look at the word(s) you’ve circled.  How would you like to change them?  How would you like these word(s) to be different?  Can you re-phrase them?  If so, write your new word(s) down in this new zone.  How would your life be different in this expanded zone?  What do you notice?

And Then …

It’s good to acknowledge what’s working well in your life as well as taking time to explore new possibilities.  Thinking about where you are now is a good starting place to reflect on how you want to change and grow.  You can discuss this in greater detail with your coach.
